The National Diabetes Services Scheme (NDSS) is designed to help you self-manage your diabetes.
It’s free to join and open to all Australians diagnosed with diabetes. There are many benefits of being registered with the NDSS, such as access to:
- A range of subsidised diabetes products
- Support services for practical help and guidance
- Diabetes Helpline.
You can register with the NDSS if you:
- Live in Australia or are visiting from a country which has reciprocal health care agreements on an applicable visa
- Have been diagnosed with diabetes by a doctor, endocrinologist or credentialled diabetes educator
- Hold (or are eligible to hold) a Medicare or Department of Veterans’ Affairs card.
The NDSS is an initiative of the Australian Government and is administered by Diabetes Australia.
